CNC Miller — Nottingham

£17.00 - £18.00 per hour | 07:00am - 16:00pm Mon - Thurs; 07:00am - 12:00pm Fri | Permanent Role

Are you a CNC Miller currently looking for a new challenge within the Nottingham area?

Currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller for a manufacturing company based in Nottingham. This would suit a candidate with experience setting and operating Haas milling machines.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Select and install tools, fixtures, and workpieces on the CNC machine.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
  • Load and align raw materials and tooling on the CNC machine.
  • Monitor machine performance during operation, adjusting settings as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC milling machines and report any malfunctions.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure compliance with tolerances and quality standards.
  • Make adjustments to the program or machine settings to correct issues and improve part quality.
  • Ensure production deadlines are met while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and troubleshoot any production issues.
Requirements
  • Experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines is required.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360).
  • Ability to set up and troubleshoot advanced tooling and machine configurations.
  • Experience with machining a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
