CNC Machinist

Salary: £12.60–£15.00 per hour
Job type: Temp to Perm | Full time | Monday – Friday

Swindon Pertemps are recruiting a CNC Machinist with experience for a leading manufacturer of high precision engineered components. The company uses advanced CNC equipment, including one of the largest milling centres in the UK, and is expanding its machining team due to continued growth and new contract awards

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manufacturing equipment to maintain productivity and quality standards
  • Follow work instructions to load workpieces to pallet systems or individual fixtures
  • Deburr and correctly identify parts; maintain quality throughout the process
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain quality standards and escalated issues where necessary
  • Work to set production targets
  • Carry out any additional reasonable tasks required by management
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Minimum 1 year CNC machining experience, including 5-axis
  • Able to read technical drawings and maintain precise tolerances
  • Skilled in setting up workpieces, tooling, and quality checks
  • Knowledge of precision measurement tools
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
