CNC & Manual Machinists - Multiple Roles (PAYE Contract)

Location: Titchfield, near Fareham, Hampshire

Contract Type: PAYE (until end of December 2026!)

About the Roles

We are expanding our team and have multiple contract vacancies for experienced machinists at our well‑equipped manufacturing facility in Titchfield, Hampshire. Roles are available across CNC and manual machining, offering a supportive and busy engineering environment.

Roles now extended until December 2026.

Shift Pattern

Training: Day shifts initially

After Training: Early or late shifts

Shift Details & Rates

Shift Hours: First 12 Weeks & After 12 Weeks

  • Day (training): 7:30 am – 4:15 pm Mon‑Thu, 7:30 am – 11:30 am Fri – £18.09 (£20.72 inc. holiday) first 12 weeks; £18.64 (£21.35 inc. holiday) after 12 weeks
  • Early: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm Mon‑Thu, 6:00 am – 1:30 pm Fri – £19.90 (£22.79 inc. holiday) first 12 weeks; £20.50 (£23.48 inc. holiday) after 12 weeks
  • Late: 2:00 pm – 11:45 pm Mon‑Thu – £21.70 (£24.86 inc. holiday) first 12 weeks; £22.36 (£25.61 inc. holiday) after 12 weeks
  • Overtime: As required – £27.13 (£31.07 inc. holiday) first 12 weeks; £27.95 (£32.02 inc. holiday) after 12 weeks
  • Sundays: As required – £36.17 (£41.43 inc. holiday) first 12 weeks; £37.27 (£42.69 inc. holiday) after 12 weeks
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, or sliding head machines
  • Work from engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Record and interpret SPC data
  • Use precision measuring tools (verniers, micrometers, plug gauges)
  • Perform manual machining, toolmaking, and deburring tasks
  • Maintain safe working practices and support continuous improvement initiatives
Experience Required
  • Proven machining experience in relevant roles
  • CNC machinists: experience on machines such as Mori Seiki NH5000, Hardinge Conquest, Citizen Sliding Head, etc.
  • Fastems experience preferred for CNC Machining Centre roles
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Competence in SPC recording and precision measuring tools
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience
  • Aerospace, defence, or regulated industry experience desirable
  • Right to work in the UK and eligible for ITAR‑controlled work
