Location: Exhall, Coventry
Salary: £18-£20 per hour, depending on experience
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-12noon (Overtime Available)

Job Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Grinder / Manual Grinder with proven experience operating and programming Studer cylindrical grinding machines. You will be responsible for producing high-precision components to tight tolerances for our Motorsport Customers.

Manual External and Internal Experience is needed.

Main Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate Studer CNC and manual grinding machines
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, etc.)
• Work to tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are in good working order
• Collaborate with the production and quality teams to meet deadlines and improve processes

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Proven experience operating and programming Studer CNC grinders (e.g., S33, S40, etc.)
• Strong background in cylindrical grinding and manual grinding
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience with precision measurement tools
• Flexibility to work independently or as part of a small team
• Internal and external Taper grinding would be ideal
• Knowledge of Fanuc or StuderWIN control systems
• Experience with other precision grinding machines
• Apprenticeship or qualification in Mechanical/Precision Engineering
