Job summary

A community-focused transport service is seeking Specialist Healthcare Passenger Assistants (x5) to provide crucial support for vulnerable children and adults during transport. Qualifications

  • Certified training in the Administration of Emergency Medication including Buccal Midazolam.
  • Proven competence in Severe Epilepsy Care and Emergency Suction Care.
  • Certification in British Sign Language (BSL).
  • Current training in Physical Intervention and Dealing with Challenging Behaviour.
  • Current First Aid & Anaphylaxis certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Compassionate and proactive approach to care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clinical safety and wellbeing of vulnerable passengers.
  • Administer emergency medication during seizures.
  • Provide specialist care for individuals with severe epilepsy.
  • Utilise BSL to communicate effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated driver.
  • Adhere to individual healthcare plans and protocols.
  • Manage challenging behaviours using training.
