Job description
Overview

The primary role of the Clinical Team Lead is to provide expert leadership and management to the 0-5 ChatHealth Service to ensure the quality of service delivery to children, young people, and their families aligns with the Healthy Child Programme 0-5yrs and the Trust vision and values. The role provides clinical expertise in direct service provision and safeguarding supervision to staff within teams, in partnership with internal and external colleagues and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Balance the management of ChatHealth and covering ChatHealth shifts as part of the rota; ensure the service is covered at all times with clinical responsibility for delivery.
  • Lead, manage and supervise the 0-5 ChatHealth Service, ensuring a safe and effective service using service user feedback to improve patient experience and monitoring quality, compliance, and performance reporting risks by exception.
  • Lead local service transformation and integration with internal and external services.
  • Manage a programme of supervision, 1:1s, appraisals, locality business meetings, and information sharing in line with corporate objectives and Children\'s Division business plans.
  • Lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, clinical and safeguarding supervision and support to the team, and engagement in clinical service developments (policy development, audit, training, etc.).
  • Work with the Safeguarding Children\'s Team to ensure delivery meets national and local safeguarding requirements and report on areas of risk.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the clinical governance agenda to support quality and risk management within the Sub-Division of Public Health.
  • Ensure the team works within Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board policy and procedures, prioritising attendance at case conferences, reviews and planning meetings.
  • Ensure the team is appropriately skilled and trained to deliver effective services.
  • Provide leadership, management and supervision to promote high performance standards for individuals and the team, aligned with the Division\'s objectives and Trust values.
  • Anticipate, identify, and report workforce pressures and risks; develop action plans to mitigate risks to service delivery.
  • Utilise training, development, and appraisal processes to ensure staff have access to learning opportunities and undertake statutory and mandatory training as required.
  • Manage performance, sickness and attendance in line with Trust policies; utilise E-rostering and collaborate with HR to improve attendance and performance.
  • Recruit and deploy staff in accordance with policy and workforce plans to meet service needs.
