The Faculty’s international reputation attracts students and staff from across the globe. The largest dental academic centre in the UK, they teach over 700 undergraduate students, 140 graduate taught students.

About the role

Part-time (minimum one day a week) clinical teachers are required to teach across the range of dentistry with our BDS5 students.

These posts would ideally suit someone with 5 years post qualification experience or a specialist dental practitioner with an interest in the education of dental students. A major aspect of the posts is to provide clinical teaching and support for the training of BDS undergraduates. As part of the role Clinical Teachers will deliver seminars and lectures, assess students and provide feedback on their clinical performance.

Applicants should be experienced and fully GDC Registered Dentists. An appropriate honorary clinical contract will be requested from the appropriate NHS Trust and the successful applicant will be expected to take part in all aspects of clinical governance activities.

Applicants from a general practice environment are encouraged and the Faculty also values postgraduate qualifications, employing specialist clinical teachers in a range of specialities.

These are part time posts (8 hours per day), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
