A leading health services provider in Leeds is looking for Clinical Support Workers to join their Gynaecology Outpatient Department. This role involves providing compassionate care for patients under the supervision of registered practitioners, maintaining high standards in acute and planned care. Candidates should have NVQ qualifications in health care and experience in a healthcare setting. The position offers 18-hour contracts with flexible covering of weekdays and occasional evenings.

TheWomen's Clinical Service Unit at Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust is a leadingprovider of specialist women's health services in West Yorkshire, and placesgreat emphasis upon maintaining a high level of patient care.

GynaecologyOutpatient Department (GOPD) comprises several services in one dedicated space,such as Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, Urogynaecology, fertility, menstrual healthand gynaecology conditions.

2x 18 hours contract

Thehours will be to cover the service Monday to Friday, with occasional eveningand Saturday clinic cover. This will be a mix of days and full days.

Additional Requirements
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Competent in written, electronic and verbal communication skills
  • Able to fulfil Occupational Health requirements for the post (with reasonable adjustments if necessary), including clearance on blood borne viruses in compliance with Trust Policy
Qualifications
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support or equivalent health care related qualification
  • The Care Certificate or in the absence of this the applicant must successfully attain the Care Certificate within the first 3 months of employment
  • Basic skills Maths and English Level 1 (equivalent of GCSE 1- 9 (A*-G))
Experience
  • Significant experience of working within a healthcare setting delivering clinical and or personal care
  • Insight into roles responsibilities of post
