Clinical Sterile Services Technician

Bristol HSSU | Permanent I Full time

Up to £24,358.47 per annum

37.5 hrs weekly rotational shift starting at 6am - 2pm & 2pm – 10pm (to include every other Sunday 8-4)

Overtime and Bank Holiday rates apply

Nuffield Health is looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Sterile Services Technicians to join the Team in HSSU. These positions will be to assist in the preparation of sterile and/or disinfected medical devices, under controlled conditions, to meet customer requirements.

It will be important to maintain a clean and tidy working environment whilst checking medical devices for cleanliness, functionality and damage, and taking action to rectify any problems and escalating issues where necessary. Successful candidates will ensure that process equipment and accessories are in full working order and that all faults and anomalies are reported. With good organisational skills, post holders will be required to maintain accurate records / documentation in accordance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures.

  • A basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
  • Full training will be provided.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, and basic computer literacy.
  • Attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver a high quality service.
  • To be able to handle manual handling duties up to 13kg.
