An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Paediatric Sister/ Charge Nurse on our Childrens Ward here at UHCW.
Ward 16 comprises of 24 beds caring for Children and Young People with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. The ward also cares for Oncology children and works closely with Birmingham Children’s hospital as a shared care centre.
We are seeking compassionate, motivated professionals, with excellent communication skills who must be able to provide clinical leadership to join our team. We are passionate about high standards of care and patient safety. If you are keen to deliver holistic care to children and young people whilst working as part of a multi disciplinary team, we would welcome you to our children’s ward where your skills and compassion will help shape positive experiences for children and their families.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
A shift/team leader, providing clinical leadership and management support, developing and evaluating best practice within the department. The post-holder will deputise for the department manager as required.

The successful applicant will after training be expected to hold the Paediatric bleep supporting the unit, attending medical emergencies as well as supporting with Bed Management responsibilities.
