Job description

RITT provides a range of approaches to support older people with complex mental health issues, aiming to reduce the need for hospital admission where possible. The role includes direct clinical work, providing advice and consultation, and offers opportunities for service development, supervision of staff and facilitating training.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct clinical services to older adults with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide advice and consultation to nursing and care homes.
  • Assist in developing and improving a high‑quality, community‑orientated service.
  • Supervise and support staff, including facilitating training sessions.
  • Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team, the team manager(s), an assistant psychologist, and other locality‑based psychology colleagues.

This position is professionally attached to the locality older adult psychology team and wider network, offering a supportive environment committed to quality services for older people in Lancashire and South Cumbria.

A DBS check is required for this post; a fee will be charged to the successful candidate if the post is subject to disclosure.
