We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist to join Adult Mental Health Psychology in the Community Mental Health Team based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
The post holder will be expected to provide a high-quality psychology service to the CMHT.
The successful candidate will have access to regular supervision and join a supportive network of psychologists working in adult mental health.
There are strong teaching and placement links with the clinical and counselling psychology courses in Staffordshire and across the West Midlands region.
To provide a psychology service to people accessing care and support from the North Shropshire Community Mental Health Team.
The post holder will carry a complex clinical caseload of people engaged with services and provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention. The work is recovery-focused and trauma-informed.
The post holder will be expected to provide leadership in psychological knowledge and skills, work well with MDT colleagues and be adept at working through others by providing consultation, supervision and team formulation.
Forming and strengthening professional relationships and working by embedding psychology in the multidisciplinary team is an essential part of the role.
The psychologist in post will have a broad range of direct client involvement, from trauma and other specific therapies, through to providing specialist assessments.
