A leading NHS foundation trust in London seeks a motivated Clinical Perfusion Specialist. The role requires post-qualification perfusion experience and the ability to manage care delivery autonomously. Responsibilities include training others and participating in an on-call rota. Clinical Perfusion Specialist at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Salary: Agenda for Change Band 8a plus HCA. The Cardiovascular Department at St Thomas' Hospital performs approximately 1200 adult and paediatric cardiac surgical bypass procedures per year and provides Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support for acute respiratory failure for adults and paediatrics. Services supported include Trans Catheter Aortic Valve Surgery, Laser Lead Extractions and Intra Aortic Balloon Pump therapy.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the department to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Perfusion Specialist to join our highly specialised team. The successful candidate will have demonstrable post-qualification perfusion experience, will be working as an autonomous practitioner, and will support cardiac surgery, a commissioned adult ECMO service and a paediatric ECMO service. Training and mentoring in ECMO and/or paediatric perfusion will be provided where required. Participation in the on-call rota is essential.
Part-time and flexible working will be considered.
