A healthcare provider in London is looking for a nursing expert to lead a specialist nursing service for children and young people. This role involves providing clinical expertise, education, and support across various educational settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care. The position comes with a substantial High Cost Area Supplement and requires a nursing degree.
Working in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team, the post holder will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of a seamless specialist nursing service, ensuring children and young people receive the highest standards of clinical care.
As a nursing expert, the post holder will demonstrate advanced knowledge and clinical expertise within the specialist service, providing advice, education and support to staff, children and young people, and their families and carers. Care will be delivered across schools, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) units, and Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs) within mainstream schools.

NELFT places great importance on new starters being properly welcomed into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will also have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend several drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941p.a. pro rata for part time).
