Clinical Nurse Specialist – Apheresis & Stem Cell Transplant

Location: Great Maze Pond, Southwark, London

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus benefits

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Join us as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in a newly established Apheresis Unit within a distinguished private hospital, part of an outstanding‑rated UK cancer centre. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a leading role in the development and coordination of pioneering apheresis and stem cell transplant services. You will contribute directly to innovative patient care pathways, including autologous stem cell harvesting, plasma exchange, and white blood cell depletion, whilst helping to shape future treatments and service development.

What you will do
  • Lead the launch and ongoing management of the apheresis service, including autologous stem cell harvesting and other key therapeutic procedures.
  • Coordinate stem cell transplants and contribute to the development of advanced therapies such as CAR‑T and allogeneic transplantation.
  • Provide clinical leadership whilst actively delivering high‑quality patient care.
  • Collaborate closely with the apheresis clinical lead, project and quality manager, and wider multidisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance, service quality, and patient‑focused outcomes.
What you will bring
  • Current NMC registration with substantial experience in haematology, oncology, or stem cell transplant coordination.
  • Advanced knowledge of apheresis techniques and stem cell harvesting procedures.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation frameworks, including JACIE.
  • Proven ability to lead service development initiatives and support the training of clinical colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and teamwork skills, with confidence working both independently and collaboratively.
