A leading health provider in the UK is seeking a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Regional Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions Service based in Leeds. The role involves providing specialist nursing care, coordinating patient care, and supporting the multidisciplinary team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Regional Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions Service team based in Leeds. Experience within cardiology is essential.
Service: Regional ICC Service (nationally recognised) providing care for patients and families with inherited disorders affecting the heart. Multidisciplinary team including adult and paediatric cardiology and clinical genetics, with involvement from psychology, pathology, and neurology. Based at the Yorkshire Heart Centre, Leeds General Infirmary, with peripheral clinics across the region.
Location: St. James’s University Hospital, Beckett Street, Leeds LS9 7TF. Department: Cardio-Respiratory CSU.

The Jobholder is responsible for the management of a defined caseload, assessing care needs, developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care, and setting standards of care. They will provide specialist nursing care, treatment and advice to a defined patient group, contribute to service development, and ensure cost-effective use of resources. They will support interdisciplinary and whole-service working, promote sharing of good practice, deliver high-quality, effective and efficient care, and provide training and education to staff, patients and families/carers. They will also contribute to the Sudden Cardiac Death pathway development and delivery.
