Job description

Clinical Negligence Solicitor (Newly Qualified), Birmingham, £47,500+ (DOE) - This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a leading healthcare law practice, working on high-quality, meaningful cases that make a genuine impact. JOB REF: 0116.

THE ROLE:
• Handle a caseload of pre-litigated and litigated defendant clinical negligence claims
• Conduct investigations to assess liability and strategy
• Liaise with claimants, solicitors, experts, counsel, and clients
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, reports, and legal documents
• Maintain and update Case Manager systems, key dates, and action lists
• Contribute to business development and profile-raising activities

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• You will be a qualified solicitor with a passion for clinical negligence law and a proactive approach to your work.
• Experience in defending complex and high-value clinical negligence claims, ideally on behalf of the NHS or in the private healthcare sector
• Excellent analytical and evidence-assessment skills
• Confidence working independently and as part of a wider team
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
• Flexibility to adapt to a varied and evolving caseload
