A leading healthcare organization in Bournemouth is seeking a Clinical Fellow in General Medicine for a 6-month position starting in February 2026, with potential for extension. The successful candidate will develop skills in General Medicine and participate in on-call services. Duration: 6 months (February 2026 – August 2026), possible extension.
Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital.
Salary: Basic plus on‑call enhancements.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trust Clinical Fellow in General Medicine as part of the Medical Specialties Directorate to join our team for six months from February 2026. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing our Medical Specialties and associated specialist areas. The post will provide dedicated training in one of the General Medical specialties and participation in the General Medicine and Older Persons Services on call. It is suitable for those with at least two years of experience in Medicine at SHO equivalent grade or above.
We are a multidisciplinary team that is keen to support our speciality doctors in their career development, especially with management, QI and educational opportunities they may wish to pursue. These posts are not recognised training posts, however there are excellent teaching and postgraduate facilities. Post holders will be encouraged to attend a wide range of education meetings at lunchtimes throughout the week, and clinical experience will be gained from the Department's own educational programme.
