Falkirk Council is seeking to recruit a Clerical Assistant who is highly skilled and committed to delivering the very best support service for staff and young people.

You will provide clerical support to the Senior Clerical and SMT as part of a busy administration team based in the secondary school.

Responsibilities
  • Take minutes for TAC meetings
  • Handle mail, word processing, data input, payment and invoice processing using a variety of computerised packages
  • Maintain filing systems and database records
  • Deal with telephone enquiries and other general clerical tasks as required
  • Contribute to presentation skills associated with internal media systems and achievement databases
  • Present information aesthetically throughout the school
  • Use Excel spreadsheets to analyse attendance data
Qualifications and Skills
  • Pleasant, flexible and efficient approach to work
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, maintain confidentiality
  • Minimum of three-year experience in an office environment
  • Good standard of education, literacy and numeracy

Working Arrangements

You will work 34 hours per week on a term-time basis.

Additional Requirements
