Job summary

A dedicated educational institution in Bridgwater is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to ensure a clean and safe environment across the school site. Job description

Bridgwater College Academy is seeking a committed Cleaning Supervisor to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across our large all-through school site. Working closely with the Site Manager/Head Caretaker, you will oversee the cleaning team and ensure high standards are consistently met in line with Health & Safety requirements.

The position is full time, 35 hrs pw and term time only.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support cleaning staff, ensuring quality and timekeeping.
  • Allocate work areas and monitor cleaning standards.
  • Provide induction and training for new staff and maintain records.
  • Manage stock levels of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure safe use and storage of cleaning products (COSHH).
  • Conduct regular site inspections and report any damage
About you
  • Friendly, reliable and organised.
  • Confident in leading a team.
  • Knowledgeable about cleaning techniques and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Basic IT skills and good communication essential.
