A UK educational institution is looking for a dedicated cleaner to work on-site, ensuring cleanliness in a student environment. The role is part-time, 15 hours a week, and requires reliability, teamwork, and an understanding of safeguarding. Prior experience in cleaning or domestic work is essential, along with the ability to follow instructions and maintain discretion.
This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College. In order to comply with mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based People Services Team. The post is 15 hours a week, 6.30am to 9.30am and it is Term Time Only 37 weeks/year.
The role involves working within Regulated Activity under the Protection of Children and Young Persons (The Children Act 1989). Offers of appointment are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (formerly CRB), a certificate of good conduct if applicable, satisfactory references, Occupational Health clearance, safeguarding understanding and qualifications verification. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position as you will be working within Regulated Activity in a specific place (i.e. the College). It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
