Overview

The Facilities Management (FM) Service comprises several diverse and multi-disciplined teams that are responsible for the safe operation, management, maintenance and efficiency of the Council’s property assets. The teams provide a range of services and support to the Council’s operational, commercial and schools portfolios ensuring the Council’s legislative obligations are fulfilled.

Teams include: Repairs and Maintenance (R&M) Team, Compliance and Surveying Team, Building Cleaning Team – Responsible for ensuring that all Council properties are clean and fit for occupation and securing a high level of occupant satisfaction, Property Information Team, Energy Management Team, Facilities Management & Site Services Team. Job role

We have part time opportunities for Cleaners within our Cleaning team. We are a key service department within the Council providing a routine cleaning service to corporate and public buildings, including the Council’s head office at Friargate and libraries. We expect our team to achieve high standards of cleaning and to have a can-do approach. In return we offer a competitive rate of pay and pension scheme, good training, development and support.

Responsibilities
  • Clean a designated area to a high standard
  • Undertake mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, polishing and buffing
  • Clean toilets and empty bins
  • Clean with due care to health and safety
Requirements
  • Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship is not offered for this role)
