Salary: £24,330 per annum

Working hours: Full-Time, Flexible, 37.5hrs p/w between 8am – 6pm

Location: Nottingham (Asylum Accommodation and Support Services)

Role: Cleaner

Here at Serco we have an opportunity for a Cleaner to join our close-knit team working in our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services based in Nottingham. AASC offers a range of improvements, with particular focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system.

Responsibilities
  • Provide cleaning services in Nottingham and surrounding areas, with duties varying by business need. A valid driver’s licence and willingness/ability to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK is essential.
  • Clean a number of properties using a variety of cleaning materials and equipment; report any cleaning appliance faults to relevant teams.
  • Ensure Health and Safety procedures and regulations – COSHH – are adhered to; be competent in the use of all chemicals and cleaning materials provided.
  • Work to tight timescales and dispose of waste from properties; replenish stock; assist other geographical areas when required; use appropriate equipment to clean carpets.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team; communicate effectively (verbal and written) due to the variety of countabilities.
What you need to do the job / Qualifications
  • Self-motivated with experience of cleaning households or large accommodation; effective time management and willingness to work overtime in line with business needs.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • A willingness to travel and work across different sites as required.
  • Security Clearance at Counter Terrorism Check level and Criminal Record Bureau checks are required (all offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and Home Office approval).
