About The Role

The Ark is a day service enabling the people we support to live meaningful and fulfilled lives, and we need support to do so. We are recruiting someone to support is in the role of domestic support, ensuring service cleanliness, working alongside the team to manage infection control standards and ensuring the people we support are able to attend a clean and safe environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Clean and sanitize communal areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and staff facilities
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and carpets
  • Empty bins and dispose of waste safely, following infection control procedures
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages or equipment faults
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely in line with COSHH regulations
  • Maintain high hygiene standards to prevent infection spread
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous cleaning experience (care setting experience is a bonus)
  • Knowledge of infection control and health & safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good communication skills and a respectful attitude towards residents
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
