Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Practice Cleaner to join our team in Deal Kent.

Please note that this vacancy is a 12 month Fixed Term contract for Maternity Cover.

• Part‑time hours available – 20 hours per week.
• Typical working pattern – 4 hours per day Monday to Friday, working across 2 practices within a 5‑minute walk of each other. These hours will be done either before the practices open or after they close.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising all areas of the practice.
• Clean and disinfect examination rooms, waiting areas, restrooms and staff areas.
• Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to established protocols.
• Maintain and organise cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Adhere to infection control and hygiene standards specific to healthcare settings.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed.
