Overview

Class 3 Building Surveyor, West London – Pay rate c. £600 per day. Contract role, Local Government Planning.

We are recruiting for an experienced Class 3 Building Surveyor for a Local Authority in West London.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of technical services for the Building Control Authority, ensuring that all building work within the Borough meets the requirements of building control legislation and the building regulations, including working with the Building Safety Regulator in the enforcement and regulation of Higher risk buildings
• Lead the delivery of public protection, ensuring the enforcement of the building regulations, demolitions and temporary structures within the Borough.
• Lead the Council’s response to dangerous structure incidents in the Borough, managing personnel and assets deployed in response and liaising with the emergency services in making safe dangerous structures and buildings.
• Contribute as a member of the Building Control Management Team to the overall leadership and management of the Building Control Authority, representing Building Control on corporate programmes, projects and initiatives as required.
• Deputise where necessary for the Assistant Director of Building Control.

Essential qualifications

• Class 3 Building Surveyor
• Membership of MRICS, CABE or similar
• minimum of five years post qualified Building Control environment

This is a contract role, and you will need to have experience in a similar role.
