MRR Infrastructure is partnering with a leading global engineering and construction consultancy delivering high-profile transmission and distribution infrastructure projects across the UK. With an excellent track record on National Grid frameworks, our client is known for its safety-led culture and focus on delivering quality outcomes on complex substation schemes. We are seeking an experienced Civils Site Supervisor to join the delivery team at Walpole 400kV Substation. This is a long-term opportunity for a motivated and capable individual with a strong background in civil supervision on National Grid substation sites.
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, to programme and in accordance with quality and compliance standards. Supporting the Site Manager, you will oversee subcontractor performance, coordinate works, assist in delivering project documentation and play a key role in upholding best practice across health, safety and environmental management. You will supervise the delivery of civil works, ensuring CDM compliance, issuing permits, setting operatives to work, monitoring progress and performance, and ensuring daily site activities align with project timelines and quality expectations. You'll lead by example, promote safe working practices, and be a key point of contact for subcontractors and the wider delivery team. Timely reporting and support in the production of as‑built drawings and other project records will also form part of your duties.
