Role: Site Manager

Location: Aberdeen

Our client is a renowned civils firm that is looking to expand their Site Manager team. This role will involve visiting and managing multiple sites across the Aberdeen area working on utility and civil engineering projects ensuring that high standards are adhered to at all times. This role is ideal for a site manager with a heavy civils background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations and coordinate external contractors
  • Maintain adherence to all health, safety, environmental and quality protocols
  • Monitor project delivery and provide updates to leadership team
  • Review technical drawings and project specifications
  • Allocate and manage workforce, materials, and equipment effectively
  • Document site activities including daily logs, progress updates, and delivery records
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop method statements as needed
  • Deliver briefings and safety communications to operational teams
  • Lead stakeholder meetings and maintain relationships with clients and regulatory bodies
  • Drive project completion within agreed timescales, scope and financial parameters
  • Support commercial functions to ensure accurate measurement and valuation processes
  • Proactively address project challenges and implement effective solutions
What you will need to succeed
  • SMSTS accreditation
  • CSCS (Black or Gold)
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering projects
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, planning and health and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Display a positive attitude, strong work ethic and be self-motivated and able to work independently or within a team
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Technical qualification in Civil Engineering or related field would be beneficial
