As part of a joint venture with Anglian Water and the @one Alliance partnership, Skanska is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Peterborough where the partnership's mission is to improve and expand the Anglian Water network to ensure an efficient water supply for all their customers.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead the development of designs and the coordination of multidisciplinary teams to deliver clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, optioneering, detailed design, and produce clear design sketches integrated into models using computer-aided design tools.
  • Contribute to proposals, work scopes, schedules, budgets, and implement risk management practices including Design Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure DSEAR compliance, prepare construction and safety files, and support technical queries with focus on cost, safety, and design integrity.
  • Oversee projects from feasibility through detailed design to construction, ensuring compliance with standards, budgets, and schedules.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • BEng or MEng/MSc Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience of undertaking structural calculations for various concrete structures meeting required standards.
  • Experience of undertaking design of various civil engineering structures within the water and waste water industry, including relevant engineering software packages.
  • Experience producing technical sketches in communicating with different disciplines to explore idea and pass design decisions.
