Job description

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a growing business in the Sheffield area as they look to recruit a CIMA Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for 2 Companies
  • Analyse P&L variances and oversee reconciliation of Balance sheet control accounts
  • Reconcile all Bank accounts
  • Administer and Reconcile Invoice Finance
  • Vat preparation and reconciliation
  • Weekly cashflow forecast and approve monthly payment runs
  • Overhaul of current systems and procedures
  • Reconcile Inter-company accounts
  • Train up on all aspects of Month end processes with a view to improvements
  • Prepare Annual Budget Workings
  • Prepare for Group audit and liaise with Group Auditors
  • Support Group Finance Director to meet increasing business demands
  • Manage 2 members of staff who have responsibility of Purchase Ledger Supervisor and Credit Control Junior
Person Specification:
  • Part Qualified CIMA Accountant with experience in financial management
  • Ability to lead 2 members of staff with transactional responbility and be proactive with improvement solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deal with auditors and work at Group level with our companies
  • Proficiency in using accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations
