A leading support services provider in Preston seeks a dedicated Children's Support Worker to assist a 13-year-old girl with complex needs, including cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Responsibilities include supporting her daily routines across various settings, providing essential care. The ideal candidate is reliable and flexible. Starting pay is competitive at up to £13.00 per hour, with extensive training and support for career development.
We'd like you to join us as a Children's Support Worker for our young client in Preston.
This role is to support a 13‑year‑old girl with complex needs, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, developmental delay, and significant visual impairment. She has a gastrostomy through which she receives all nutrition and medication, and she is a full‑time wheelchair user.
She lives at home with her mother, stepfather, and younger sister. She also spends time with her father once during the week and stays overnight with him one night at the weekend. Support may therefore take place across different settings; however, all locations are within the same postcode area.
Weekday and weekend shifts are available which include mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
Please note that shift times may change during school holidays.
We are seeking committed female candidates who are reliable, good at time‑keeping, engaging, and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role.
Active Care in the Home is an equal opportunities employer. For genuine occupational requirements we require female support workers for this client. We also commit to providing reasonable facilities to individuals with disabilities to participate in job applications or interviews and to perform essential job functions.
