Locum Children's Social Worker

Child Protection / Safeguarding Team, Warwickshire County Council

£33.30 per hour (in line with the West Midlands Memorandum of Understanding)

Warwickshire County Council are seeking experienced and dedicated Locum Children's Social Workers to join the Child Protection and Safeguarding Teams. They are committed to delivering high-quality services that put children, young people and families at the heart of everything they do and they require a locum to help the team at this critical time of young people going back to school.

  • Manage a caseload of children subject to child protection plans, children in need and those who are looked after.
  • Undertake assessments and statutory visits in line with national and local safeguarding procedures.
  • Develop and implement robust care plans in partnership with children, families and multi‑agency professionals.
  • Prepare high‑quality reports and present evidence in court proceedings where required.
  • Contribute to child protection conferences, looked‑after reviews and core group meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, agencies and families to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
What's needed?
  • Social Work England registration
