Children's Social Worker – Child Protection Team

Warwickshire County Council are seeking an experienced and dedicated locum Children’s Social Worker to join the Child Protection and Safeguarding Teams. They are committed to delivering high‑quality services that put children, young people and families at the heart of everything they do and require a locum to help the team at this critical time as young people return to school.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children subject to child protection plans, children in need and looked‑after children.
  • Undertake assessments and statutory visits in line with national and local safeguarding procedures.
  • Develop and implement robust care plans in partnership with children, families and multi‑agency professionals.
  • Prepare high‑quality reports and present evidence in court proceedings where required.
  • Contribute to child protection conferences, looked‑after reviews and core group meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, agencies and families to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
Qualifications
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Experience in child protection, safeguarding and care proceedings.
