Children's Residential Support Worker - Full-Time (Permanent)

Social Care Recruitment are seeking proactive, reliable and passionate Children's Residential Support Workers for full‑time, permanent opportunities within our partner services.

About the Role

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you’ll be supporting young people aged 6‑25 across Residential Children’s Homes and Supported Living services. Your role is to help them feel safe, develop life skills, build confidence and work towards a brighter future.

This is a hands‑on, active role where you’ll be involved in everything from daily routines to engaging activities, behaviour support and emotional guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent emotional, practical and behavioural support
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing and positive environment
  • Promote independence through structured routines and life skills
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
  • Support individuals with challenging behaviours, trauma and complex needs
  • Participate in community‑based and in‑house activities
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver high‑quality care
  • Follow safeguarding principles and Children’s Home Regulations (Ofsted)
What We're Looking For
  • Full‑time availability (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Minimum 6 months’ UK social care experience (children or adults)
  • Proactive, resilient and confident approach
  • Genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred – can be arranged)
