Job summary

A local childcare organization in Mold is seeking a Full-time Childcare Practitioner for their Pre-school and Wraparound settings. The role requires providing high-quality care and supervision for children aged 2-4 years, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. Candidates must have a minimum Level 2 childcare qualification, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. The position offers a minimum of 32.5 hours per week during term time, with training and safeguarding responsibilities included.

Bryn Coch Club a registered CIO #1196346 (Wales) is a happy and successful club located within the grounds of the hugely popular Ysgol Bryn Coch and is looking to recruit an extra Full‑time Childcare Practitioner for our Pre‑school, Wraparound and childcare setting, term time only.

Hourly rate - NLW per hour.

Hours per week, minimum 32.5 Monday to Friday (5 weeks paid holiday)

We require an individual who will create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for our children and ensure high quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Appropriate care and supervision of children in our care.
  • Providing opportunities for play (knowledge of child led and in the moment planning)
  • Ensuring health and safety needs of each individual child are met.
  • Where appropriate administer first aid.
  • Ensuring that each child’s wellbeing is met and they thrive in a safe environment
  • Engaging the children in suitable age-appropriate play activities
Person Specification
  • Recognised childcare qualification minimum Level 2 - working towards L3
  • Previous experience of working with children 2-4 years
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing demands
  • Able to work constructively as part of a small team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information sensitively
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Knowledge of Flying Start and 30‑hour childcare offer.
  • Ability to implement the Active Offer
All staff are expected to:
  • Undertake training as required
  • Support and contribute to the club’s responsibility for safeguarding students
  • Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance and conduct
