The Role

As a Childcare Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of care proceedings from start to finish, ensuring each case is handled efficiently and professionally. You will represent clients at court and at key meetings, while also supervising and supporting junior Fee Earners. The role involves liaising with local authorities, guardians and other third parties, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and maintaining accurate billing and time recording. Additionally, you will contribute to the growth of the department and support business development initiatives.

The Candidate

Our client is seeking a qualified Solicitor with solid experience in family care law, ideally a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel. You will be a confident advocate, skilled in managing sensitive cases with professionalism, empathy and discretion. Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail and the capacity to handle a varied workload are essential.
