About the Role – Child and Family Health Nurse/Midwife – Secondment

Your work will involve conducting home visits following the birth of a baby, followed by ongoing clinic appointments to complete milestone checks outlined in the Personal Health Record. Beyond clinical assessments, you will offer holistic guidance and support to parents, including breastfeeding advice, assistance with sleep and settling, and tailored parenting strategies.

In addition, the service provides parenting groups, immunisation programs, and audiometry, giving you the opportunity to contribute to the health, wellbeing, and confidence of families in your community.

To ensure your success, you will be supported with a tailored orientation plan, carefully designed and delivered by our Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) and Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE). This program will acknowledge your existing capabilities and experience, while equipping you with the knowledge and confidence to thrive in your role.
