  • This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic aspiring Chief Technician to take their next career step and join our Pharmacy team.
  • We are looking for an experienced senior Pharmacy Technician looking for their next promotion opportunity to Chief Technician with a demonstrable track record of excellent service delivery with good communication and organisational skills to support their team to be their best.
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Stores and Procurement services and the technical staff providing the service.
  • You will actively contribute towards on-going service developments and will give support and leadership to junior technicians, assistants and trainees.
  • Join an innovative and friendly Pharmacy Senior Management team and work closely with them contributing a high quality and responsive procurement and distribution service.

Main duties of the job
  • You will be supported to maintain your ACPT through joint working with colleagues to deliver services and to support the training and development programmes for staff.
  • Continual professional development is supported and encouraged with opportunities to enhance your skills as part of this role.
  • This post is open to GPHC registered Pharmacy technicians who can demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • You will have extensive hospital pharmacy experience within a stores and procurement setting together with a proven successful track record in both leading a team and being an enthusiastic positive team member.

Qualifications
  • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical services
  • Registered with the GPHC
Experience and Skills
  • Experience of working as a supervisor/ manager in pharmacy
  • Extensive recent experience of working in a pharmacy purchasing and distribution role.
  • Experience of analysing and reporting data
  • Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams, senior management and specialists
  • Confident, accurate, assertive, discreet and diplomatic
  • Extensive previous NHS Hospital Pharmacy
