An exciting opportunity for an Orthodontic Technician is now available in the Maxillofacial and Orthodontic laboratory at ST Georges Hospital.
We are seeking a skilled orthodontic technician to join our team. This post plays a vital role in delivering high quality orthodontic care by designing, constructing and modifying custom appliances such as braces, removable retainers, functional appliances, vacuum formed appliances and fixed appliances for routine and complex cases.
The postholder will be required to work in a multidisciplinary team of other laboratory staff and clinicians within the Oral & Maxillofacial, Dental and Orthodontic Department and where appropriate participate in the design of required devices.
Work to the provided prescriptions providing all types of fixed, removable, and functional orthodontic appliances to the highest quality standards.
Use intra oral scans for the production of 3D models, kesling simulation digital PAR scoring and to support the construction of Orthodontic devices.
Complete all work within the standard laboratory working times. Liaise and work with clinical and admin teams when required to support the turnaround of urgent patient cases.
Work within the laboratory team of Dental/Prosthodontic Technicians , Maxillofacial Prosthetists, and training STP students.
