Main duties of the job
  • Be a valued addition to the team in our consultant and nurse-led service
  • Work with patients receiving chemotherapy or new treatments, such as immunotherapy
  • Fully assess each patient\'s needs, providing tailored treatment plans and care
  • Administer systemic anti-cancer therapies
  • Assist consultants during clinics
  • Provide care for Acute Oncological emergencies
  • Be proficient in venepuncture, cannulation and the use of central venous access devices

Nuffield Health Derby Hospital is a modern, purpose-built hospital with 38 en-suite beds, three operating theatres, and a comprehensive range of outpatient services. The Radiology department covers general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT. Set in beautiful grounds, we\'re about 3 miles from the city centre, within easy reach of all major roads and bus routes.

Job responsibilities

Bank Staff Nurse - Oncology, Derby Hospital | Nursing | Bank Contract | Ad hoc | Up to £30.00 per hour, depending on experience

  • As a Bank Staff Nurse in Oncology at our Derby Hospital, you\'re registered with the appropriate governing body and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC
  • As well as post-registration experience, you have experience in Oncology and a SACT (systemic anti-cancer therapies) qualification or you\'re working towards this
  • Be a valued addition to the team in our consultant and nurse-led service
