A leading educational institution in the United Kingdom is seeking a Chef Supervisor to join their dedicated catering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals that meet school standards while supervising the catering team. This permanent, term-time position offers a starting salary between £24,741.32 and £28,598. The role requires flexibility and the ability to work in a busy kitchen environment under the direction of the Chef Manager.

Salary: Ark Outside London Support Scale 5, Pay Points 5 - 12: £25,583 to £28,598 (pro rata)
Actual Starting Salary: £24,741.32. Pay is spread evenly over 12 months.
Hours: 38.5 hours per week, 41 weeks per year: 7.00am – 3.45pm Mon to Fri (this includes a 1 hour or 2 x 30-minute unpaid breaks each day)
Contract: Permanent

This is a rare opportunity to join our hard-working, dedicated catering team in our growing academy. As Chef Supervisor you will be based at one of our two campuses under the direction of our Chef Manager. This is a term time only position, which means you will only work 39 weeks of the year, plus two extra weeks in the school holidays as directed by your manager. Pay is spread evenly over the year so you would never have a month without money.
As the Chef Supervisor you will prepare, cook, and present food which meets the school standards and according to the Chef Manager’s direction. You will also be responsible for supervising the catering team and ensure high levels of food preparation and kitchen cleanliness is maintained across all kitchen and dining areas as well as ensuring a high standard of catering service is provided.
Our standards are high and meals are prepared daily from fresh ingredients. We need someone who can work quickly and safely, be part of a team and has the confidence to interact with staff and students.
