Job description
Chef Supervisor

DSFS are looking to recruit the right person into the position of Chef- Supervisor who will join our team on a full-time basis, working within Cafe at the Royal, located at the main entrance at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

This opportunity offers shifts 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, working shifts with starting times of 7am and finishing at 3pm.

Our team is the focal point for patients, visitors and staff in the Hospital. We are looking for someone who is an experienced Chef and will thrive in this role, creating the right environment for our staff and visitors alike.

The closing date is 18 January 2026.

Key Benefits of the Role
  • Our Pension is a NEST pension. Upon joining you can choose whether to pay 5% or 8% and DSFS will match whichever you choose.
  • If applicable to your role and contract we will pay enhancements of 40% for any hours worked after 8pm and before 6am on Monday to Friday and for hours worked on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Qualifications
  • Level 3 Food hygiene certificate or willing to undertake.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, or equivalent experience (to include Maths and English)
Desirable criteria
  • Good knowledge of Food safety Guidelines
  • Experience with Food Allergies, special diets and labelling
Experience
  • Experience in a similar position where there are peaks and troughs in demand during service times
