At ICG, we deliver exceptional hospitality by living and breathing our core values of respect, customer focused, warmth, and honesty, all with the goal of Making People Happy.
The Black Swan has been a beacon of warmth and hospitality for centuries, offering travelers a timeless retreat in the heart of Helmsley. Originally a vital stop for weary stagecoach passengers journeying between Leeds and York, this historic inn traces its roots back to the 15th century. Its unique charm lies in its architectural tapestry - an Elizabethan building at one end, a Tudor structure at the other, and a Georgian house in between - creating a wonderfully higgledy‑piggledy gem brimming with character.
As Chef de Partie, you’ll be at the heart of our kitchen, ensuring presentation and attention to detail are paramount. With experience in a similar role and a genuine passion for food, you’ll take full responsibility for your section, delivering exceptional food service from start to finish.
You will oversee food safety, storage, and compliance with legislation and company policy, working closely with the team to maintain high standards. Strong communication, time‑keeping, and organizational skills are key as you collaborate with kitchen staff, front‑of‑house, and management teams.
You’ll work efficiently under pressure, preparing food items timely and maintaining a clean working station. If you’re passionate about delivering quality food and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, we think you’ll fit right inn.
