The DUNDAS ROAD TAVERN AND RESTAURANT PTY LTD trading as BOAB TAVERN is a distinguished, family-friendly establishment that has been serving the community with exceptional hospitality since November 2011. Conveniently located in the heart of High Wycombe, just moments from the airport and adjacent to the new Forrest field Airport Link Station, we offer a premium venue for dining, social gatherings, business meetings, and special celebrations.

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate chef to join our energetic team. The position is full-time, and the chef will be required to work late evenings, weekends, and on public holidays.

Requirements
  • Hold at least Certificate IV or above in Commercial Cookery.
  • Minimum 1 year of proven work experience as a chef.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure during peak service times.
  • A strong sense of teamwork and good communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Full working rights within Australia
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Develop menus, including selecting ingredients, creating recipes, and ensuring variety and quality.
  • Supervise the preparation and presentation of dishes to ensure high standards at every stage.
  • Manage the kitchen's budget, control food costs, and minimise waste to maximise profitability.
  • Maintain and order stocks and supplies.
  • Collaborate with Managers and staff to address food preparation and service needs.
  • Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities.
  • Supervise and provide training to new kitchen staff.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene, OHS & Food Safety procedures in the kitchen.

In return, we will provide a yearly salary between $ 76600 and $77000 plus super based on your experience and skills.
