Job summary

A local Asian food establishment in Kingsbury is seeking a reliable Cook experienced in Chinese, Thai, and Malaysian cuisine to assist in a busy kitchen. Duties include preparing and cooking dishes, maintaining hygiene, and supporting the head chef. Full-time and part-time positions are available with a pay range of £11 to £12 hourly. Training is provided.

Location: Kingsbury, London NW9. Pay: (National Minimum Wage). Hours: Full-time or Part-time. Start: Immediate.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking cook with basic experience in Chinese, Thai, and Malaysian cuisine. This role is ideal for someone who can handle wok cooking, prep work, and assist in a busy kitchen. Training will be provided – you do not need to be a senior chef.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Chinese, Thai & Malaysian dishes.
• Cook simple stir-fries, noodles, curries, fried rice, etc.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, and marinated items.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow food safety rules.
• Support the head chef and work well in a team.
• Help with opening/closing kitchen duties.
