Responsibilities
  • To assist the Head Chef with the development and delivery of all aspects of the catering service within the Hospital.
  • Ensure that the preparation and presentation of food complies with the required standards and costs are controlled within budget whilst maximising the customer experience through the production of interesting and creative menus.
  • Support in maintaining health and safety, COSHH and infection control in line with legislation and Company policies.
  • Assist the Head Chef to ensure equipment used in the department is in good working order and used appropriately.
  • Assist with stock control and re-ordering of equipment and stores in line with policy and budget.
  • Communicate effectively and provide cover in the Head Chef’s absence to ensure a continuous and efficient service.
Person Specification / Qualifications
