The Chartered Structural Engineer will be client facing working as a fee earner, working on large framework contracts as well as a variety of other works but also have the opportunity to progress to Regional Manager (Associate Engineer) very quickly. The Chartered Structural Engineer will be chartered either by ICE or IStructE. This position provides a perfect opportunity for the successful candidate to show their ambition, drive and passion for customer service.

Position Remuneration
  • Salary up to £62,000 maybe more for the right candidate

Position Overview
  • Working on wide range of projects, including structural surveys and structural designs for residential, commercial and industrial properties as well as providing advice to the insurance sector and assisting with regional frameworks.
  • Undertaking of technical and feasibility studies including organising site investigations
  • To use a range of software to develop detailed structural designs as well as hand calculations
  • Liaise with clients and a variety of professionals including contractors and architects
  • Preparation of contract documents, management of tenders
  • Resolving design and development problems and management of budget and project resource
  • Provide supervision and support to ICE / IStructE candidates, promote knowledge and understanding.
Position Requirements
  • MICE / MIStructE / FICE Qualified
  • Experience and extensive working knowledge of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning practices
  • Experience in negotiation, supervisory and leadership roles
  • Experience in working to deadlines and within budgets on large scale projects
  • Located in commutable distance to Luton.
