Charge Nurse ( RMN ) – Mental Health Hospital
Salary – £41,475 – £44,648 per annum ( Up to £ per hour )
Location – Abergavenny
Hours – Permanent – Full Time hour shifts
Shift Pattern – Mixed shifts required ( days nights and weekends on a rotational basis )

Appoint Healthcare are proud to partner with an extremely reputable leading national provider of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities. Together we are seeking an experienced senior Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) to work in a forensic hospital providing a secure environment consisting of medium, low and open rehabilitation settings for men and women with mental illness and or personality disorders.
As a Charge Nurse ( RMN ), your role will be to support the ward manager in managing a secure ward with patient’s under the mental health act who have a diagnosis of mental health, personality disorder and or learning disability needs.
Requirements
- A relevant nursing qualification ( RMN )
- A valid NMC registration with no restrictions or referrals
- Have clinical and leadership experience that provides the expertise and confidence required to support the wider nursing team.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- A minimum of 2 years of Mental Health experience as a nurse, in the UK
- Be responsible for deputising in the absence of the ward manager if necessary and therefore must demonstrate a willingness to develop and expand on their existing roles and responsibilities
- A high level of self-motivation you must be able to respond flexibly to change and the developing needs of the service
- A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
- You will need to demonstrate the ability to assess and teach junior staff and have good leadership skills.
- Annual salary of up to £40,455 per annum
