Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Change Lead to join the Civil Nuclear Constabulary at their location in Whitehaven.

This role works Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.

Along with a permanent contract with CNC you will receive an excellent salary plus fantastic benefits, including a generous annual leave starting at 27.5 days per annum (FTE) plus bank holidays.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to police vetting criteria you must have resided within the UK continuously for at least 5 years at the time of application.

Purpose of this role

To support the BPSS Product Manager in the continuous improvement of the BPSS systems deployed by the organisation and their users. To ensure that systems are available, fit for purpose, updated, supported and that staff are appropriately trained in their use. The role also supports the BPSS Product Manager & BPSS Delivery Manager with implementing change.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Assist the PM with managing Forward Schedule of Change
  • Assist in managing the planning, testing and implementation of change requests
  • Manage the change process
  • Work with the PM to identify changes from the business
  • Ensure security compliance with security practices, guidelines, and standards
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with suppliers, partners, vendors and customers to support business strategies and goals
  • Collaborate with the wider organisation to drive innovation with BPSS processes and systems
  • Maintain BPSS Risk Record including updating CNC Risk Register
  • Maintain BPSS documentation in conjunction with DM & PM, ensuring it is reviewed and updated when necessary
  • Facilitate monthly BPSS Management Board, Functional Lead Committee, and Change Advisory Board meetings
  • Provide administrative support to wider Finance and Business Systems Support & Development Teams
  • Oversee change control and service development while working with business stakeholder engagement to analyse business challenges and change requests, and implement system upgrades
  • Work with Oracle and the business on potential enhancements and roadmap items
  • Consider potential communication needed when change occurs
  • Work with other Business Projects that may impact BPSS
  • Work with the Reconciliation & Maintenance Officer and change agents for 360 feedback on changes and potential considerations
Essential Criteria
  • Relevant IT/professional services qualification, or willingness to attain ITIL
  • Relevant Change Management qualification
  • Excellent document writing skills
  • Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Organisational ability to prioritise workload, time and deadlines, and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong listening and recording skills with an ability to pay attention to detail
  • Capable of working unsupervised
  • A mature, responsible proactive approach to work
  • The ability to travel
