Job description

Mark Sattin Executive search is working with a well-established Founder‑led B2B services business on an impressive growth trajectory, delivering c.15% YoY, as the business moves into its next stage of expansion, it is seeking an experienced and commercially minded CFO to provide strategic financial leadership, partner with the executive team, and lead the business toward a successful exit event.

Working with the founders and senior leadership team, the CFO will be responsible for shaping and executing the financial strategy, ensuring finance underpins both aggressive growth and long-term value creation. The role will focus on building financial maturity, driving commercial insight and positioning the business for a successful transaction.

The CFO will develop high‑quality financial reporting and forecasting, strengthen planning and analysis, and ensure the business is exit‑ready. They will also represent the company with credibility both internally and externally, engaging effectively with investors, advisors and key stakeholders. Alongside this, the CFO will play a key role in people and culture, embedding commercial discipline and supporting the leadership team in delivering the growth agenda.

Ideal candidate will:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA)
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in a high‑growth, PE‑backed, privately‑owned or founder‑led business, ideally within B2B or B2C, with strong exposure to international operations, foreign exchange and import/export.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of driving growth strategies, scaling businesses and leading them through exit events.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to articulate and execute financial strategy that drives value creation.
  • Confident and visible leader, able to stand up with credibility to boards and external stakeholders.
  • Bring a collaborative, people‑focused approach, supporting culture and capability development across the business.
